| AIR POLUTION : |

- Tripura Gas Based Power Project, Monarchak is proposed at a downsized capacity of 100
± 20% MW based on availability of 0.50 MMSCUMD gas for 15 years to the project as confirmed by ONGC on 19.12.2007.
- The Tripura State Electricity Corporation Ltd (TSECL) has agreed to draw the entire power from the project.
- All statutory clearance including MOE&F clearance have been obtained.
- The PPA with Tripura State Electricity Corporation Ltd (TSECL) for drawl of entire power has been signed on 19.03.2008.
- The Gas Supply Agreement (GSA) with M/s ONGC has been signed on 05.06.2008.
- Land has since been acquired and all infrastructure including boundary wall, offices, field hostel, construction power, construction water has also been made.
- Indemnification Agreement for implementation of Transmission system for the project has been signed with Tripura State Electricity Corporation Ltd. on 18.09.2008.

The CCEA clearance of Tripura Gas Based Power Project was accorded and was intimated vide MOP's letter dated 14 th July'2009 with commissioning schedule of 30 months. The project was proposed for commissioning in the 11 th plan. NEEPCO proposed to award the Main plant works (EPC contract) to BHEL with the assistance from CEA. Accordingly, BHEL has offered contractual completion period of 36 months from the date of award. Based on the offer of BHEL the project cost has been updated at Dec'09 PL to Rs. 623.44 crs (including IDC vetted by CEA) and submitted to MOP along with revised PIB Note on 05.01.10.

NEEPCO Board of Directors in its meeting dated 23 rd March 2010 has approved the award of EPC contract to BHEL at negotiated price, Scope, Commissioning Schedule and other terms and conditions and authorized the CMD to award the contract immediate on receipt of PIB/ CCEA clearance on the Revised Cost estimate

PIB meeting held on 12.07.2010 and recommended RCE of Rs. 623.44 crs. for consideration of the CCEA. The PIB has also permitted placement of award of the EPC contract to M/s BHEL. The PIB minute was issued on 23.07.10 and as per the observation of the PIB, 23rd July ’10 has been fixed as the ‘zero’ date for commencement of the project activities. The LOI to M/s BHEL has been issued on 23.07.10. CCEA clearance of the project is expected shortly.
